BODY IMAGE & BODY POSITIVITY
Program Details
Body image refers to how individuals perceive and feel about their physical appearance. Positive body image promotes self-acceptance and confidence, encouraging individuals to appreciate their bodies as they are. Body positivity, on the other hand, is a movement that advocates for the acceptance of all body types, challenging societal beauty standards, and promoting self-love. Embracing body positivity involves celebrating diversity and fostering a healthy relationship with one's body.
Program activities will focus on:
Fostering a positive body image and untangling harmful messages
Replacing harmful messages with empowering narratives for nurturing positive body image
learning the impact of negative body talk on themselves and others
Developing body positivity toward themselves
Practicing what to do when hearing negative body talk
